The internet is a very good platform to learn virtually anything so long as you can use the system. The movement of open content has made learning so easy and affordable for all. I was helping a client for some research when suddenly stumbled into the different sites that provides free books from different authors to the public. The links below is to help you build your own library.
Alison: Alison is a platform meant for anyone that is a self motivator. you can learn own your own then hurry now to Alison. Almost all the courses come with video, audio and ebooks and are completely free.
Bookboon: with bookboon you can download 1000 free ebooks without registration. their books are completely free.
Project GutenbergProject Gutenberg is often referred to as the mother of all ebook sites. It started in… 1971, when a first ebook ever was created, “Declaration of Independence of the United States of America.


Smashwords is one of the biggest and most advanced sites with ebooks from independent authors and publishers. There are currently over 180,000 titles published. If you are looking for completely free books this site is not for you
Google the biggest search engine of the world is not left out in this movement. The google book is a platform where books are reviewed. it's a  huge collection of books that Google scanned and turned into viewable files is now available on Google. This is the biggest online bookstore where one can read a free preview of almost every book that is offered there – no matter the format.


Blurb is a self-publishing site where one can find a lot of quality,and very well designed ebooks. To discover new books to read, you can go directly to Blurb bookstore.

Ibis Reader is an organised system enables one to read ebooks on different devices, including computers. It’s a great way to read free Feedbooks titles in a browser – both public domain and self-published ones.

The Literature Network: This site is organized alphabetically by author.  Most of the literature here is free while some downloads require a small fee.

Free Computer Books: this site contains every computer subject and programming language you can think of is represented here. Free books and textbooks, as well as extensive lecture notes, are available.

Librivox.org: this site is a dream come true for audiobook lovers. All the books are completely free. Librivox has many volunteers that working to release quality recordings of classic books, all free for anyone to download.
